Spy Spaceship?

During the past week as a Chinese spy balloon was seen high up in the sky passing over the United States and later shot down over the waters of South Carolina, I thought of this photo I took last year. If it was a ship and not just an unusual cloud formation, it never landed or attacked (to my knowledge), but maybe they were just bringing surveillance back to their home planet. What do you think?

Thinking About Wings

I'm working on book two of my Chronicles of Nadavir series which takes place mostly in the land of Pixiandria. It's a world where pixie faeries flit, soar, swoop, and fly everywhere, so my mind is focused on wings. The wings on the pixies of Pixiandria match their spirit insects. Ping the faery has the wings of a butterfly, but her aunt's wings are similar to a dragonfly. Birds also play a major role in this second book with the working title of Ping's Mystery in Pixiandria.

Lots and lots of wings are on my mind today.

Magical Beings Challenge 2023

Here’s a sneak peek of the January activity for the Nadavir Kids Club, a FREE activity source for kids. This month I’m offering a Magical Beings Monthly Challenge for 2023. Each month we’ll learn about a different magical being. The activity includes a 1-page master sheet showing each month’s character and a booklet with directions and larger spaces for drawing pictures. During the next year, we’ll study dwarves, phoenixes, leprechauns, unicorns, trolls, mermaids, elves, centaurs, griffins, wizards, dragons, and faeries!

WIN A SET OF HAND-CRAFTED NORDIC RUNES!

These replicas of the wooden runes Frigg made in Frigg's Journey to Anasgar contain images that are burned onto wooden discs and come in a muslin bag complete with a white cloth for casting the runes. Included in the kit are information sheets offering an interpretation of the meaning of each rune and excerpts from the book showing how Hilla and Frigg used the runes in the book.
