Summer School Visit!

I spent a wonderful morning with some fun and enthusiastic kids at a school's summer program. We talked about stories, writing, and characters. The kids colored pictures of Frigg, Ping, Tip, and Cricall, and then they gave the characters a tour of their classroom. I loved talking with the kids, taking pictures, and answering questions.

One little boy asked me five times to write a book about sharks, make the book myself, and dedicate it to him so he could keep it forever. I would if I could! But, I told him that his interest in sharks means he should write the book himself!

I'll be visiting 5 more schools this week and next. I'm excited to see what these adventures bring into my life. Wish me luck!

Nadavir Gang at the Beach!

While we were at the beach last week, Ping took a nap on a harbor seal's nose, Frigg learned about Pelagic Cormorants at the Yaquina Head Lighthouse Interpretive Center, and the gang spent some exhilarating moments climbing a rock wall at Coast Park in Newport, Oregon. It was a fun trip for all!

Scandinavian Midsummer Festival

The Nadavir Gang spent last weekend at the Scandinavian Midsummer Festival in Astoria, Oregon. Cricall loved chatting with a group of Icelandic horses, Tip enjoyed the traditional music and dances, Frigg learned to sail replicas of Viking ships, and Ping assisted with the raising of the Midsummer Maypole. Everyone enjoyed eating Pannukakku (Finnish pancakes), Swedish Meatballs, Norwegian Pork Sausage, and Danish Pastries.
